WHAT IS THE INDUSTRY? Grain Storage and handling
HOW WILL I BE REWARDED? Rewarding for the role and will depend on experience. Great pension scheme too. There may be an option for a Part time consideration.
WHAT IS THE JOB? Supporting the team with cleaning, grading, storing, loading grain in and out in an efficient and safe environment maintaining a strict health and safety protocol. With perhaps a good analytical and practical mind you will also maintain and repair any equipment and plant on site within your capability or schedule maintenance for more technical fixes.
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES? In a nutshell the duties will include assisting the team with:
- Loading grain: intake / out loading
- Drying and monitoring grain in storage
- Basic site repair and maintenance
- Working flexible hours understanding the highs and lows of the seasons
WHAT SKILLS OR EXPERINCE DO I NEED?
- Experience in managing a small team, or a couple of other people
- Having worked in a grain store at some capacity would help your understanding
- Some maintenance or engineering background or inclination to be involved with it
- You will be a person that ‘can’ and ‘can’ also speak to others, you will understand technology to include computers and have basic numeracy skills too.
